Biography

I received a B.Eng in Automatic Control from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Hefei, Anhui Province, China, in 2003. I finished the Master courses in the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (GUCAS), Beijing, China, in 2004. I completed my one-year Master internship at the Sino-French Laboratory for Computer Science, Automation and Applied Mathematics (LIAMA), and at the Chinese National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA), Beijing, China, in 2005.

In Sep. 2005, I started a cotutelle Ph.D. in Computer Vision and Image Processing with
Josiane Zerubia and Ian H. Jermyn from the Project-Team Ariana in France, and also with Baogang Hu and Véronique Prinet from the LIAMA/NLPR in China. The defense was at LIAMA on Nov. 18, 2008. My research interests include shape modelling, variational approach, model-based image segmentation, and object recognition. The application focuses specially on the road network extraction from Very High Resolution (VHR) satellite images.

Since Dec. 15, 2008, I will be with
Project-Team Magrit of INRIA Nancy-Grand Est / LORIA in Nancy, France as a postdoc.
